On December 5, 2013 the lecture "Contextualizing the Holodomor" dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of Holodomor 1932-1933 in Ukraine. took place at Stanford University.

Famous researchers of not only Holodomor but genocides, professors of Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies Frank Sysyn and Stanford University  Norman Naimark conducted the lecture. Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco Sergiy Aloshyn attended the event.
