Visa applications should be submitted to:
1) Ukraine's Embassies or Consulates abroad. Every foreigner or a stateless person who is required to have an entry Ukrainian visa may apply for her/his visa to the relevant Ukraine's Embassy or Consulate no earlier than 3 months before the date of the planned entry to Ukraine.
2) MFA visa divisions at border check points at "Boryspil" and "Odesa" international airports in certain cases (emergency visa on arrival). Detailed information may be found here.
3) one of Ukraine's 56 Visa Application Centres abroad. VACs receive visa applications from foreigners and stateless persons residing in VACs location countries only - list of operating VACs may be found here.
4) online via the https://evisa.mfa.gov.ua/ MFA website (e-Visa applications only). E-Visas are issued to foreigners-holders of passports of 52 specified countries as single entry 30-day visas under these 6 categories (as per the purpose of travel to Ukraine):
- business;
- private;
- tourism;
- medical treatment;
- cultural / scientific / educational / sports activities;
- foreign mass media staff visits.

MFA’s advice to all applicants is to fill in and register their visa applications for the relevant Embassy/Consulate/MFA division at an airport/Visa Centre online at http://visa.mfa.gov.ua.
Registering, printing, signing and bringing your visa application form along with your supporting documents will make the application process easier and save your time.
According to Ukraine’s Visa Rules all applicants should provide the following documents in order to apply for their visa:
1) passport/travel document which should comply with these requirements:
- be valid for at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from Ukraine;
- have at least 2 pages free from any visas/marks/stamps;
- be issued for no more than 10 years.
2) printed and signed visa application form (please see MFA advice on visa application registration above);
3) 1 applicant’s photo (35 * 45 mm);
4) proof that the applicant is a holder of (or is entitled to benefit from) a valid medical/travel insurance policy to cover Ukraine and the period of stay (the policy should provide a minimum of €30 000 or equivalent coverage). Holders of diplomatic/service passports are exempt from this requirement;
5) proof of sufficient funds to cover the costs of stay (e.g. bank statement for 2 recent months, cash in Ukrainian hryvnia/other convertible currency, bank cards along with current/savings account balance statements provided the bank cards can be cashed in Ukraine, hotel/accommodation booking, letter from the applicant’s employer/sponsor confirming their coverage of applicant’s expenses in Ukraine, a return/transit ticket etc). Holders of diplomatic/service passports are exempt from this requirement. For more details on this requirement please see the Procedure for Providing Sufficient Funds by Foreigners and Stateless Persons Entering, Staying in, Transiting through or Leaving Ukraine approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine no.884 of 4 December 2013 (in Ukrainian).
6) paid visa fee receipt (unless stipulated otherwise by Ukraine’s legislation or Ukraine’s international treaty).
Please note that in cases where applicants reside in a country that is different from the country of their nationality/citizenship Ukraine’s Embassies/Consulates abroad may only be able to accept visa applications from applicants holding valid temporary/permanent residence documents (long-term visas/residence permits or their equivalents etc.).
Along with the mentioned documents applicants are expected to submit documents confirming the purpose of their planned visit to Ukraine:
for transit (B type) visas – one of the following:
- visa for another country (if required) and tickets;
- document(s) confirming that passengers/cargo are to transit through Ukraine by car/coach;
- international carrier license issued by the relevant authority of a foreign state
for short-term (C type) visas – one of the following:
- invitation letter from an entity/company/organisation registered in Ukraine, presented on the official letterhead, with indication of the entity/company/organisation’s number according to Ukraine’s Unified State Registry of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Citizens’ Associations, registration number, date and signature, full name of the invited person, information about his/her date and place of birth, nationality, passport details, place of residence, purpose of visit, duration of intended visit to Ukraine, number of entries and place of stay in Ukraine, legal person’s obligations to cover costs related to the invited person’s stay and/or departure from Ukraine;
- original of the notarized invitation letter from Ukraine’s national or a foreigner/stateless person who legally resides (temporarily or permanently) in Ukraine. Invitation should contain full surname and name(s) of the inviting person, details of his/her passport and temporary or permanent residency permit (for a foreigner/stateless person), address, and full name of the invited person, information about his/her date and place of birth, nationality, passport details, place of residence, purpose of visit, duration of intended visit to Ukraine, number of entries and place of stay in Ukraine, inviting person’s obligations to cover costs related to the applicant’s stay and/or departure from Ukraine. Copies of the inviting person’s Ukrainian passport (if an inviting person is Ukraine’s national) or copies of the foreigner’s/stateless person’s passport and their Ukrainian temporary/permanent residency permit (if an inviting person is a foreigner/stateless person) should be provided as well;
- invitation letter issued by Ukraine’s ministries / other central executive authorities, state entities and organizations;
- passenger / cargo carriers’ contract as well as the relevant international passenger / cargo carrier’s license;
- certificate of a person of Ukrainian descent issued by Ukraine’s National Committee on Persons of Ukrainian Descent. If applicant’s family applies for this type of visa as well documents on their status and family relation to the applicant should also be provided;
- proof that the applicant’s main purpose of journey to Ukraine is tourism (hotel/accommodation booking(s), programme of stay, information on the tour(s) and the tour(s’) timeframes, tourist agency details, transfer details, sightseeing information etc.);
- invitation letter issued by Ukraine’s hospital/medical treatment institution;
- document issued by the relevant regional/city state administration/bank confirming that the applicant has made an investment to Ukraine’s economy;
- document(s) confirming that the applicant owns property (real estate) allocated in Ukraine;
- invitation letter issued by a religious organization in Ukraine for a short-term performance of missionary activities accompanied by a letter issued by Ukraine’s Ministry for Culture / Department on Religious Matters of the relevant regional or city state administration – depending which authority has registered that religious organization;
- a letter of the foreign Mass Media with a request to issue a visa to the foreign correspondent/Mass Media staff member who intends to travel to Ukraine in his/her professional capacity;
- invitation letter issued by foreign states’ authorities / international organizations;
- an Order of Ukraine’s Central Election Commission on registration of official observers from foreign states and international organizations for presidential elections, parliamentary elections, local elections and national referendums;
- document(s) confirming that the applicant is a spouse, a parent or a child of a citizen of Ukraine.
for long-term (D type) visas – one of the following:
- a certified copy of the work permit issued by Ukraine’s State Centre for Employment. Foreiners / stateless persons exempt from the requierement to obtain a work permit in order to be employed in Ukraine are to provide a copy of the work contract. Persons of Ukrainian descent are to provide their certificate of a person of Ukrainian descent and a copy of the work contract;
- a copy of the immigration permit issued by a local office of Ukraine’s State Migration Service;
- document(s) confirming that the applicant is a family member of a foreigner/stateless person who has been granted refuge/temporary protection in Ukraine. Certificates issued by foreign countries should be apostilled (legalized) and translated into Ukrainian as well as duly certified;
- invitation letter issued by a relevant Ukraine’s state authority/entity/organisation which is a recipient of international technical assistance project as well as a confirmation of the registration of the relevant international technical assistance project;
- invitation letter issued by a religious organisation duly registered in Ukraine for a long-term performance of religious/missionary/canonical activities accompanied by a letter issued by Ukraine’s state authority which has registered that religious organization (e.g. Ukraine’s Ministry for Culture / Department on Religious Matters of the relevant regional or city state administration);
- invitation letter issued by a foreign non-governmental organization (branch / office) duly registered in Ukraine;
- invitation letter issued by a foreign company duly registered in Ukraine;
- invitation letter issued by a branch of a foreign bank registered in Ukraine;
- invitation letter issued by a branch of a foreign Mass Media duly registered in Ukraine with a request to issue a visa to the Mass Media staff member;
- official letter/verbal note issued by a relevant foreign state authority/foreign diplomatic mission/international organisation (office) with a request to issue a long-term visa to the mission/organisation (office) staff member as well as her/his family members;
- invitation letter issued by Ukraine’s relevant government authority which implements respective cultural, educational, scientific, sport or volunteering programs or an invitation letter issued by an entity/institution/organisation engaging volunteers in their activities accompanied by the copy of that entity/institution/organisation’s state registration certificate;
- documents confirming that the applicant is a spouse of a national of Ukraine. Marriage certificates issued by foreign countries should be apostilled (legalized) and translated into Ukrainian as well as duly certified;
- document(s) confirming that the applicant is a family member of a foreigner/stateless person residing in Ukraine upon a temporary residence permit accompanied by a copy of that foreigner/stateless person’s temporary residence permit as well as proof of that foreigner/stateless person’s sufficient funds to cover applicant’s expenses in Ukraine. Certificates issued by foreign countries should be apostilled (legalized) and translated into Ukrainian as well as duly certified;
- documents defined by the subparagraph 4 of the paragraph 12 of the Article 5 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons" confirming that the applicant is a founder and/or participant and/or beneficial owner of (exercises control over) the legal entity registered in the United State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations of Ukraine, and that the applicant’s contribution (or a foreign legal entity’s share – in cases where the applicant is the beneficial owner or exercises control over a foreign legal entity which has a share in the Ukrainian legal entity) in that legal entity’s capital comprises no less than €100 000 according to the official foreign currency exchange rate set by the National Bank for the date when the foreign investment has been made. Documents issued by foreign countries should be apostilled (legalized) and translated into Ukrainian as well as duly certified;
- other documents (if stipulated by Ukraine’s international treaties).
Ukraine’s Embassies/Consulates abroad charge $65.00 (basic visa fee) for processing visa applications via regular service. Fees are doubled for all applications filed upon expedited service.
Visa fees for certain visa types for applicants from certain countries might differ from basic visa fee above due to reciprocity principle. Please see reciprocal fees.

MFA visa divisions at border check points at "Boryspil" and "Odesa" international airports charge 2550 UAH fee (unless stipulated otherwise by Ukraine’s international treaties).
E-Visas are issued upon the $85.00 fee.
Fees are not refunded in case of visa refusal.
At the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco visa applications can be submitted in person or by an authorized representative, between 9 AM and 12.00 PM from on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and between 1 PM and 4.45 PM on Wednesday.
It is advisable to apply for a visa not less than two month prior to your prospective departure date. When an application is submitted in person, a numbered receipt (a pick-up slip) is issued to the submitter. This receipt should be presented at the Consulate when the visa is claimed.
In case of need, a Consular officer may request additional documents that would in a better way specify or support the purpose of the alien's trip or invite a certain person for an additional interview.
For foreigners traveling to Ukraine the proof of sufficient funds is required
Foreigners intending to travel to Ukraine, reside in Ukraine, or travel through Ukraine are required to possess the amount of funds equal to 20 days' worth of average monthly per capita subsistence minimums, established in Ukraine on the day of arrival.
Therefore, as for February 1, 2014 a foreigner traveling to Ukraine is to possess average daily amount of approximately $100 U.S., adding extra 5 days reserve ($500 US).
The following documents may be presented to prove sufficient funds:
• Cash in Ukrainian hryvnia or in convertible currency;
• A valid bank document containing an account balance which can be presented for payments in Ukrainian banks;
• International pay system cards along with a statement of personal account balance confirming the funds;
• A document proving hotel or residence booking;
• A tourist voucher;
• A letter of invitation (guarantee) from the host/sponsor stating his/her ability to cover all the foreigner's expenses associated with the residence in Ukraine and departing its territory;
• A traveler’s return or transit ticket.
No proof of sufficient funds is required for the categories of visitors as follows:
• Foreigners or stateless persons under 18;
• Tourists on a cruise;
• Foreign aircrew and warship crew who arrive in Ukraine according to the applicable regulations (on terms agreed upon);
• Non-military vessel crew;
• Non-military crew of international airlines or international connection trains, who are on duty and reside within the facilities of airports or train stations;
• Heads of foreign states or governments, members of parliamentary or governmental delegations, and technical staff with the above representatives or their family members (accompanying on request of central authorities of Ukraine);
• When in service: officials of international organizations, staff members of their local branches in Ukraine, staff members of state representatives to international organizations that have headquarters in Ukraine and who are eligible for diplomatic privileges and immunities;
• UN certificate holders and officials of other organizations of the UN system, their family members;
• Chiefs of foreign diplomatic missions and consular offices, members of diplomatic personnel, consular officers, administrative and technical staff of diplomatic and consular institutions, staff of military attaché and trade representatives, their family members;
• Diplomatic and Service Passport Holders who travel to Ukraine to perform their official duties, their family members.

Travelling to the territories of Ukraine occupied by the Russian Federation
Foreigners and stateless persons shall travel to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol in accordance with the laws and international treaties of Ukraine.
Those foreigners who need to obtain visa for their trips to Ukraine should apply at the overseas diplomatic or consular missions of Ukraine.
Those foreigners who enjoy visa-free regime shall stay in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol only after entering the territory of Ukraine through operating checkpoints and getting a due stamp in their passports.
Those foreigners and stateless persons who fail to comply with Ukrainian legislation when entering Ukraine and stay in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol will be prosecuted under the laws of Ukraine. Also international sanctions may be imposed against such persons as those who support the temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine.
ENTRY / EXIT REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS: You need a valid passport to enter Ukraine. If you are a U.S. citizen, you do not need to have a Ukrainian visa as long as you will be in Ukraine for fewer than 90 days within a 180-day period. You need a visa or valid Ukrainian residency permit for all stays longer than 90 days. You cannot get a Ukrainian visa at the airport or at the border. If you need a visa, please get it in advance at a Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate.
Check your visa carefully so that you know the validity period. You are responsible for knowing the rules for the type of visa you have. Sometimes U.S. citizens try to come to Ukraine before their visa allows. Remember, in Ukraine the date is written day-month-year. If you come to Ukraine before your visa allows, you can be stopped at the border, not allowed to enter Ukraine, and required to return to your point of origin at your own expense.
ACCORDING TO THE NEW VISA REGULATION PROCEDURE ENTERED INTO THE FORCE SEPTEMBER 10, 2011:
Introduces one class of visa for US citizens:
Long-term one-entry visa (VD), petition-based of visas, which could be issued for applicants entering Ukraine with the purpose of obtaining documents permitting stay in Ukraine for the period of longer than 90 days. Within 45 days from the moment of entry to Ukraine a holder of long-term one-entry visa should legalize his status in Ukraine (apply to relevant authorities in Ukraine for a permanent/temporary residence permit or special stamp to the passport).
LONG-TERM, ONE-ENTRY
Employment
Employment authorization document - (DOZVIL NA PRATSEVLASHTUVANNIA) in the name of the applicant issued by the Ukrainian State Center of Employment and obtained for him/her in advance by the employer in Ukraine.
Immigration
Copy of the Permission to immigrate in Ukraine arranged by the state Ukrainian Immigration Service.
Student visa
To obtain Ukraine’s entrance visa (student visa) it is necessary to submit to the Embassy the documents as follows:
- a passport;
- an original letter of invitation to study;
- an education certificate along with grades (an original and notarized translation into the Ukrainian or Russian language);
- a birth certificate (an original and notarized translation into the Ukrainian or Russian language);
- a document confirming absence of HIV infection (an original and notarized translation into the Ukrainian or Russian language);
- a medical certificate, witnessed by an official health care facility of a student’s home country issued not later than two months prior to departure to Ukraine (an original and notarized translation into the Ukrainian or Russian language);
- a round-trip ticket with an open date of return to home country allowing to stay in Ukraine for at least a year.
All the above mentioned documents have to be witnessed (apostilled) in accordance with para 6 of the Act of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine #1238 of August 05th, 1998.
Foreign students that have obtained a visa to Ukraine have to notify the education facility (that issued an invitation to them) about their arrival date and flight information to help arrange their meeting at an airport.

International technical assistance
Original letter of Invitation from Ukrainian state organization which is a recipient of International technical assistance as well as the confirmation of registration of the International technical assistance project.
Religious Mission
An original letter of invitation from a Ukrainian religious organization for a foreign missionary must contain or be accompanied by a written confirmation under the signature and seal of a responsible official of the Ministry of Culrture of Ukraine on Religious Matters or of the department on religious matters of a regional or city administration depending on where the sponsoring organization is registered.
Branch of foreign company
Original letter of Invitation from the branch of foreign company as well as the confirmation from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine about the registration of the branch of foreign company.
Branch of foreign bank
Original letter of Invitation from the branch of foreign bank as well as the confirmation from the National Bank of Ukraine about the registration of the branch of foreign bank.
Mass-Media
Original letter from foreign mass-media which have to be confirmed by Ukrainian Committee on Television and Radio
Cultural and Sport Exchange, Volunteer
Original letter of Invitation from Ukrainian Governmental bodies which are responsible for cultural, scientific, educational and volunteer programs in which the foreigner has to participate or the Letter from volunteer organization registered in Ukraine.
Reunion of Family
Certificate of Marriage with the citizen of Ukraine.
Document of the person who is a relative of the foreign citizen, the holder of Ukrainian Permanent/Temporary Card as well as a copy of Permanent/Temporary Card.
Special Attention for the Fulbright Program Members
The member of the above-mentioned Program has to present a copy of the Registration Card of the International Technical Assistance Project in Ukraine (issued by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine) and the Letter-Invitation from the beneficiary Ministry of Ukraine.
For exampleif the beneficiary Ministry of the International Technical Assistance Project in Ukraine is the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine the Applicant have to present a Letter – Invitation from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
According to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine # 567 dated 01 June, 2011 such category of Applicants will receive a Long-term visa (D type) up to 45 days. The visa has to be issued on free of charge regime.
During 45 days the beneficiary Ministry in Ukraine will arrange a Permanent/Temporary Residence Card which will allow staying and entering in Ukraine without visas.
To stay and live in Ukraine together with family the members of the Program have to receive a Permanent/Temporary Residence Card, send a copy of this card to the family and members of family (spouse, kids) can apply to the Embassy for Reunion Family Type of Visa.
Long-term one-entry visa (VD), which could be issued for applicants entering Ukraine with the purpose of obtaining documents permitting stay in Ukraine for the period of longer than 90 days. Within 45 days from the moment of entry to Ukraine a holder of long-term one-entry visa should apply to relevant authorities in Ukraine for a permanent/temporary residence permit. Consular fee will be:
- $ 160 for student visas and for mass-media visas,
- $ 190 for petition based visas,
- $ 325 for immigration visas and for family reunion visas,
- $ 345 for employment based visas and $ 220 for all other purposes.
If applying by mail, a self-addressed prepaid envelope is required. For a return service, please provide the Consulate with Express Mail envelopes only.

There are three classes of visas for non-US citizens:
1. Transit visa (VB), which will allow transit through the territory of Ukraine within the period of 5 days. Travelers can apply for one entry, two entries, as well as multiple entries within the period of one year.
2. Short-term visa (VC), non- petition based of visas, which will allow stay in Ukraine for less than 90 days within 180 days starting from the first entry to Ukraine. This visa will be issued as a one-entry, two-entries and multiple-entries valid for the period of up to 5 years.
3. Long-term one-entry visa (VD), petition-based of visas, which could be issued for applicants entering Ukraine with the purpose of obtaining documents permitting stay in Ukraine for the period of longer than 90 days. Within 45 days from the moment of entry to Ukraine a holder of long-term one-entry visa should legalize his status in Ukraine (apply to relevant authorities in Ukraine for a permanent/temporary residence permit or special stamp to the passport).
TRANSIT
What kind of document should be a ground for this type of visa?
Visa for another country if it is required or air ticket
Confirmation of international transit person or goods.
Valid license on international freight.
SHORT-TERM
Valid for NON-US citizens (check the visa-free regime section) who have already used 90-days visa free-regime within 180 days.
Be advised that NON-US citizen have to present the US Permanent Residence Card of valid US visa.

Private Purpose
Original letter of invitation approved by the relevant offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Touristic Purpose
Original touristic voucher which can be arranged by Ukrainian relevant touristic agency. During entering in Ukraine a hard copy of touristic voucher have to be presented together with the passport and touristic visa to Ukrainian Border Protection Officer.
Official Purpose
Original Letter of Invitation from Ukrainian ministries or other state or governmental bodies.
Transit Purpose
Agreement on international freight as well as a valid license on international freight.
Treatment Purpose
Original Letter of Invitation from Ukrainian hospital.
Investment Purpose
Document which confirmed the registration of investment to the economy of Ukraine (no less than 50 000 USD).
Humanitarian Purpose
Letter from the Commission on the humanitarian relief of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukrainian for individuals who will provide a Humanitarian relief.
Religious Purpose
Original letter of invitation from Ukrainian Church as well as a document which will confirm the state registration of the Church.
Mass-Media Purpose
Original letter from top-official of the foreign mass-media on visa for journalist who will care his duties in Ukraine.
Official Purpose
Original letter from foreign state or governmental bodies as well as international organization.
Originally was born in Ukraine
The document of foreign Ukrainians (Posvidchennia Zakordonnogo Ukrainca) or Certificate of birth in the territory of Ukraine.
LONG-TERM, ONE-ENTRY

Special Attention for the Fulbright Program Members
The member of the above-mentioned Program has to present a copy of the Registration Card of the International Technical Assistance Project in Ukraine (issued by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine) and the Letter-Invitation from the beneficiary Ministry of Ukraine.
For exampleif the beneficiary Ministry of the International Technical Assistance Project in Ukraine is the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine the Applicant have to present a Letter – Invitation from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
According to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine # 567 dated 01 June, 2011 such category of Applicants will receive a Long-term visa (D type) up to 45 days. The visa has to be issued on free of charge regime.
During 45 days the beneficiary Ministry in Ukraine will arrange a Permanent/Temporary Residence Card which will allow staying and entering in Ukraine without visas.
To stay and live in Ukraine together with family the members of the Program have to receive a Permanent/Temporary Residence Card, send a copy of this card to the family and members of family (spouse, kids) can apply to the Embassy for Reunion Family Type of Visa.

Please be informed that Ukraine introduced a Visa free regime for citizens of the countries of European Union, U.S.A, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, Norway, San Marino, Monaco, Iceland, Vatican, Andorra, Liechtenstein and Republic of Korea, who may stay in Ukraine without visa up to 90 days.
A passport valid for six months beyond the planned date of travel is required.
For citizens of the above mentioned countries who enter Ukraine with the purpose of employment, permanent residency, study and work at the diplomatic missions of the above mentioned countries in Ukraine or with any other purpose if they are going to stay in Ukraine for more than 90 days, visas are still required.
No visas are required fro citizens of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (except Turkmenistan).
Visa issuance or adjustment are subject to a processing fee in US dollars payable to the Embassy of Ukraine only in the form of a postal money order at the time of the application.
Cash, credit cards, personal or company checks are not accepted.
Fees must be paid in the amounts stated below and should not include a return postage.
Travelling with animals

Foreigners and stateless persons may entry the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol of Ukraine in accordance with the Law and international Treaties of Ukraine.
The Law of Ukraine "On protection of rights and freedoms of citizens and legal regime for the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine", as amended on 05.09.2014, regulates a procedure for entry of persons in the temporarily occupied territory and the departure from it.
According to Article 10 of the Law the citizens of Ukraine have the right to free and unimpeded access to the temporarily occupied territories and the departure from it through the control points of entry and exit upon presentation of a document confirming the identity and citizenship of Ukraine.
However, the entry of foreigners and stateless persons to the temporarily occupied territory and the departure from it is allowed only by special permission through the control points of entry and exit.
As of today, the relevant draft of Regulations on entry-exit procedure of foreigners and stateless persons to the temporarily occupied territory, developed by the Border control Administration, is on the approval with the concerned Ministers.
Thus, the foreigners from countries with visa entry regime, have to apply to the diplomatic missions or consular offices of Ukraine abroad for obtaining a Ukrainian visa.
Foreigners from countries with visa-free entry regime, may entry the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol of Ukraine only if crossing the border at border crossing points across the state border of Ukraine with putting relevant stamps into their passport documents or immigration cards.
However, it is important to know that:
- Violation of order of entry into the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and the departure from it for the purpose of harming the interests of the state is punishable by imprisonment for up to three years or imprisonment for the same term, with confiscation of vehicles. The same acts committed repeatedly or by prior conspiracy, or by an official through abuse of office shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term of three to five years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years and forfeiture vehicle. The above-mentioned acts committed by an organized group shall be punishable by imprisonment for a term from five till eight years.
- Violation of order of entry into the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and the departure from it punishable by a fine from one hundred till three hundred tax-free minimum incomes, or by an administrative arrest for up to fifteen days.
- Entry into Ukraine is not allowed for foreigners or stateless persons:
a. If a person attempts to enter the temporarily occupied territory through the control points of entry - exit without a special permission;
b. Foreigners and stateless persons who arrived to the control points of entry - exit from the temporarily occupied territory without permission, may not travel further and in the shortest time they should be returned to the temporarily occupied territory from which they came, or to a state that issued a passport.
The passport document of the above mentioned foreigners and stateless persons will be stamped mark on the prohibition of entry to Ukraine.
Transit of foreigners and stateless persons through the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine is prohibited.
Stipulated by this Law legal regime will operate until the restoration of constitutional order of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territory.
