On March 29, 2014 Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco Sergiy Aloshyn attended the grand celebration of the graduation of the 8^th graders of Ukrainian Heritage School in Sacramento.

During the celebrations Consul General of Ukraine made a welcoming speech to the teaching staff, alumni, parents and pupils, emphasizing the importance of the Ukrainian Heritage School, whose primary goal is the education of Ukrainian youth in the best Ukrainian traditions, the development of the Ukrainian language and Ukrainian literature study, geography and history.The above is especially important in conditions of the modern history of Ukraine development, when the in-depth knowledge about Ukraine plays an important role in uniting the nation.

During the event, Sergiy Aloshyn presented an honorary award "Honored Education Worker of Ukraine" to the Ukrainian Heritage School Principle Mrs. Nadiya Kalyniuk.
