Danylo Lubkivsky: the Government of Ukraine strongly and categorically condemns anti-Semitism of "pro-Russian" separatists.

On April 21, 2014 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Danylo Lubkivsky met with a delegation of the American Jewish Committee lead by its Executive Director David Harris.

"The Government of Ukraine strongly and categorically condemns absolutely outrageous manifestations of xenophobia and anti-Semitism, so blatantly demonstrated today by provocateurs from so called "pro-Russian" separatist forces that are being instigated from outside. This demonstrated intolerance derives from militant chauvinistic obscurantism and stands next to aggressive Ukraine-phobia, which is unacceptable for any civilized government and person. The head of the Ukrainian government Arseniy Yatsenyuk requested that the competent authorities thoroughly investigate every blasphemous incident", said Daniel Lubkivskyy.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the American Jewish Committee for its consistent support of Ukraine in the international arena. Participants discussed current plans of the Ukrainian government on cooperation with the AJC and global Jewish community.
