During an interview the Consul General highlighted the current situation in Ukraine, the actions of the Ukrainian authorities, aimed at strengthening the internal affairs bodies and their radical reorganization, primarily in Eastern Ukraine; and the beginning of the constitutional process as well as preparation for the All-Ukrainian referendum on decentralization of power and empowerment regions of Ukraine.

He also stressed the importance for all voters to reveal their will through voting at the Ukrainian presidential elections on May 25, 2014 in order to consolidate the Ukrainian society.
