On 6 May 2014 in Sacramento Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco met with recently appointed Senator Tom Berryhill, the Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on California-European Trade.

The Consul General inform the Senator of California Legislature about the Russian support of the separatists armed groups in the Southern and East regions of our state and the Ukrainian Government efforts aimed at settlement of escalated situation in that area as well as about the Constitutional reform implementation and the practical step on the EU integration of Ukraine.

The pressing issues of bilateral dialogue intensification, development of mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation as well as strengthening of interregional partnership (sister city relationship) between Ukraine and California were discussed.
