In Washington, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko received a prestigious award “Global Citizen Award” from reputable NGO “Atlantic Council of the United States”.

Addressing the international expert audience of the Atlantic Council of the United States, the President noted that he dedicated the given award to those who had given their lives in a struggle for freedom and democracy.

Petro Poroshenko stated that the support of the United States was crucially important for Ukraine currently. “Ukraine is in danger. Our enemy is strong and better prepared. But with your support and power of spirit, we will win in this struggle, for the truth is with us,” the President said.

“We need a consolidated supported from our partners to repel the attack on our sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the Head of State noted.

The President also answered the questions of NGO members.
