On October 16, 2014 a charity event “Relief Ukraine” was held in Sacramento, California, to raise funds and necessities for those Ukrainian citizens who have suffered from military conflict in Donbas, Ukraine.
More than 200 people took part in the event, organized by the Ukrainian religious community of Sacramento, including local businesses and political circles’ representatives. One of the speakers of the event was California State Assembly member Ken Cooley. From the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco the event was attended by Vice Consul Oleksandr Filipenko who read out the Consul’s General Sergiy Aloshyn welcome address to the community.
