On the occasion of the 201st anniversary of birthday of great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, President Petro Poroshenko and his wife Maryna took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the monument of the Poet in Kyiv.

Together with the President, the ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Kyiv RSA Head Volodymyr Shandra, members of the Government, MPs, public representatives, cultural figures and artists.
