On May 17, 2015 on occasion of the 71st Anniversary of Crimean Tatars deportation, the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco initiated screening of  the film “Haytarma”    St.Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Church in San Francisco.

“Haytarma” is the first feature film in the history of the Crimean Tatar about deportation.

Before screening the film the representative of the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco delivered a speech to Ukrainian-American community about the Crimean Tatar nation’s deportation from their Motherland in 1944 on the order of Jo.Stalin, as well as huge sufferings of the Crimean Tatar people for decades.
