On September 18th, 2015 humanitarian cargo medical equipment was shipped from Arizona (USA) to Ukraine for the needs of Main Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Estimated value of the specified shipment, consisting of about 1000 medical equipment (ECG, ultrasound, X-ray machines, respiratory equipment, surgical and laboratory kits, etc.) of more than 1 mln. USD.
Shipment of the humanitarian aid (one 40 feet container) was made due to the funds collected by the Ukrainian community of Washington state, Ukrainian churches of the state (including the National Slavic district Assemblies of God, Pentecostal churches, Catholic and Orthodox churches), a Christian NGO «Circle of Caring Friends» and entrepreneurs, as well as the efforts of the president of North West Ukrainian Business Association (WA) Valeriy Goloborodko and American charity organization «Project CURE», with the assistance of the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco.
Consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco Oleksandr Krotenko, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Tucson (Arizona) Taras Warvariv and executive director of «Project CURE» Katie Mabardy participated in the process of loading humanitarian cargo. During this event the Consul thanked the American charitable organization for its support of Ukraine and significant amount of humanitarian aid sent for the needs of Ukrainian medical institutions. An agreement to continue active cooperation was reached.
