On September 8, 2013 Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco Sergiy Aloshyn took part in the Ukrainian Festival, dedicated to the 22d anniversary of Ukraine's Independence and the 30th anniversary of the Ukrainian Heritage Club of Northern California, held in Davis, CA.

Welcoming the leadership and members of this Society with this remarkable date, Consul General voiced the congratulations of First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Demchenko with the gratitude to the Club for its effective promotion of the preservation of Ukrainian heritage and national identity in the U.S. as well as for the contribution to the development of friendship, partnership and strategic relationship between Ukraine and the United States.

The concert program included vocal performances of Merited Artist of Ukraine Ihor Bohdan, opera singers Ivanna Taratula and Oksana Sytnyts’ka, choir "Caroling", dance, vocal and instrumental performances of children dance groups and Bandura Ensemble, demonstration of  Ukrainian ritual traditions, as well as the Ukrainian art exhibition, Ukrainian embroidery ect.
