On November, 24 in Los Angeles the commemorative events to the victims of Holodomor 1932-1933 in Ukraine were attended by the representatives of Los Angeles City Hall, Consul of Ukraine in San Francisco O.Savostianov, Ukrainian -American clergy and numerous US- Ukrainian community of Los Angeles. After the wreath-laying ceremony and procession carrying around a memorial monument installed in memory of the millions of victims of genocide against the Ukrainian people in 1932-1933 in Los Angeles Grand Park, Consul O. Savostianov, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine (1993-1998 years) Hon.William Miller and President of Hollywood Foundation "Tirdent” Peter Borysov made their remarks on Holodomor in Ukraine.
On November 24, 2013 at the premises of the public library in Sacramento the representatives of the Ukrainian Heritage Club of Northern California performed a play “A parcel from Prison” (extract form the play of Mykola Bilous) in commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Holodomor 1932-1933 in Ukraine.
On November 24, 2013 an event called “Requiem to the Memory of Victims of the Great Famine in Ukraine” was held at the University of Washington, Seattle.
