Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with David Cameron

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of the UK David Cameron in the course of which he expressed deep condolences over the death of British citizens in Malaysia Airlines aircraft crash.

David Cameron expressed gratefulness to Petro Poroshenko for the conversation in extremely difficult circumstances of such a dreadful tragedy.

President Poroshenko expressed gratitude to the UK for initiating the Emergency Meeting of the UN Security Council.

The parties discussed the process of international investigation into circumstances of the tragedy. The President invited British experts to take part in the investigation.

The Head of State emphasizes that the black boxes from the plane should be examined by international experts and cannot be conveyed by terrorists to the third party.

David Cameron emphasized that it was necessary to thoroughly compile all possible evidence and submit it for consideration by the UN Security Council.

At the end of the conversation, the President expressed gratefulness to the Prime Minister for his personal efforts in the formation of the position on Ukraine outlined in the conclusions of the European Council of July 16, 2014.
