At the opening, San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie stated:
“This space is a symbol of solidarity. San Francisco stands with the Ukrainian people - those who are here in San Francisco today and those who continue to defend their freedom and identity.” It is also worth noting that this project supports the City of San Francisco’s efforts to bring business activity back to downtown, which is still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The goal of the project is to introduce international audiences to modern Ukraine - a country whose artists and businesses continue to create despite all the challenges of the largest war in Europe since World War II.
“This project is also about charity, as C UKRAINE will serve as a place of support. United24 is the official partner of the project.
We have joined the Allies of Steel initiative within UNITED24 to provide Ukraine with modern ground robotic systems that save the lives of our defenders,” - said Dmytro Kushneruk, Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco.

The space will also serve as a platform for the Ukrainian-American community and our friends in the Bay Area - a place to host events, meet new people, find partners, and build meaningful collaborations.
