The Ukrainian community of Northern California celebrates the 26th Anniversary of the Independence Day of Ukraine.

In particular, on August 26, 2017, during these celebrations in Sacramento Consul General of Ukraine Sergiy Aloshyn delivered a welcome speech before the Ukrainian community, and so did Consul of the diplomatic post Oleksandr Krotenko on August 27 this year in San Francisco. The Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco expresses the sincere gratitude for holding these festive events to the Ukrainian Heritage Club of Northern California and the Ukrainian-American Coordination Council, all organizers and participants.

On August 20, 2017, Consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco Alexander Krotenko took part in the festival dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the Independence Day of Ukraine, which was held in Los Angeles.

On August 31, 2017, the California State Senate adopted the Resolution on recognition of the Independence Day of Ukraine
